A Week Ago Today

A week ago today

we were setting up the moon

we were sharing secrets

we were wondering if woven baskets connected to hometowns.

A week ago today

we were talking about high school

and high times

laughing gas without any tanks.

A week ago today

we were comparing childbirth to Roman rulers

we were sleeping in and waking up

we wanted to.

Today

we aren’t speaking

I checked.
